birthday week.

I had a pretty fantastic week. And this entry is going to be mostly photos and it will be long.

Sunday, Andrew and I went to see the play that Bekah directed for her children’s church. I was so proud of her! I know how stressful it was for her to get all of those kids to cooperate the past few months and she did such a great job.

I wish I knew how to stand in photos. I always feel like I look so awkward. Not that you can tell, but my hair looked really awesome that night and so did my makeup. Haha. I was mostly excited about my hair.

See? I love it. Except I will never cut it like this ever ever again.

Tuesday, I went to Bahama Breeze with Andrew, Aurora, Amanda, Joelle, and Joelle’s friend Kayla. I love Bahama Breeze and I love them so much. It was nice. Andrew got me this super cute scarf for my birthday and I’m pretty excited about it.

Andrew likes to play around with the settings on my camera. Which is fine with me, because he knows more about my camera than I do. I love this photo of Aurora.

I’m kind of annoying with my camera and take a bazillion photos. I think my friends are used to it by now, though. My favorite, though, is when I forget Andrew has played around with the settings and I go to take a picture the next day in completely different lighting and I’m all, “WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE THISSS!!!” or “WHY ISN’T THE FLASH WORKINGGG!” and then I remember to switch the little knob thing. :) But I don’t mind at all, because, like I said, he knows way more about it than I do.

I’m pretty content just being with my friends. For all I care, we could just sit on a bench somewhere and say absolutely nothing and I would be perfectly fine because I’m just with them. I enjoy any time I have with them.

Wednesday was my 24th birthday. I went to Boma for breakfast with my mom, Alysse, Katie, and Janice. I had been looking forward to it for months (even though originally, we were supposed to go to Ohana…long story) and I was so excited! I had never eaten there. It’s an African themed buffet and it was pretty fun. Alysse got me two really pretty headbands (the one I’m wearing in this picture and then a really cute black one) and Janice got me a gift card to Sweet Tomatoes since I’m pretty much obsessed with that place. It was fun introducing them to my mom. The food was good and so was the company and I loved every second of it.

These girls have such a special place in my heart. They are three of my dearest friends and I love them so much. I got some cute photos with my mom…and I pretty funny one as well…but she told me I’m not allowed to show y’all her photos anymore because someone was a traitor on Facebook and told her I uploaded a few photos of her. (SHAME ON YOUUUUUU TRAITORRRR WHOEVER YOU AREEEEE!!!!) But trust me when I say, the pictures of me with her are totally cute and funny.

After breakfast, my mom left and we decided to go to Magic Kingdom. It took us a good hour and half to get there thanks to the buses at Animal Kingdom Lodge being lame and the Magic Kingdom bus never arriving. We got there just in time before Rufo left and I was all “HI BIG BROTHER! TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAAAAY AND YOU DIDN’T NOTICE MY BIRTHDAY BUTTONNNN!” To which he was all, “Shut up. I’ve been up since 3 AM and haven’t checked Facebook!” Except he didn’t really say that. The part about me shutting up. But it made me so happy to see him! Katie, too, because she hasn’t seen him for awhile.

Katie’s 24th birthday was actually Sunday, so we celebrated together. We found Al and talked to him for a bit. “GRUMPY TAYLOR!”
We rode a decent amount of rides, because the parks have been dead this week and we practically walked onto everything without a wait. It was nice.

Katie and Janice left around 5 and then Alysse and I went to Hollywood Studios to see the lights.

Thursday I spent the entire day with Katie. We started at Animal Kingdom and did a couple rides there.

We walked around for a bit. I got an icee and I was hoping that the line for Everest was long so I could just drink it while we waited. It wasn’t. Haha. So we got Fast Passes and then went to the Yak and Yeti Quick Service and shared honey chicken. Then we went back to Everest and I got that snazzy photo. I love it. Even thought I look like a fool. I love how our eyes look. And that’s the scarf Andrew got me! You can’t see it, but it has Minnie Mouse on it and it’s just awesome. Katie taught me a new way to tie it, too.

We went on the ride in DinoLand (I can’t remember what it’s called…) and then went to Studios to ride Rockin’ Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. After that, we went to Epcot and did a few things there and then we met up with our friend Jack at the ESPN Club for dinner.
It was a ton of fun. I also got awesome birthday messages on Facebook (which I am recognizing here because the new timeline on Facebook makes it pretty much impossible for me to respond to all of them…so THANK YOU to everyone who texted, called, and wrote on my Facebook wall! I love you!).
Monday I shadowed Jen and spent the day with her, Shannon, and the kids. I’m pretty sure my new job will come with tons of stories. I’m so excited. I start officially on Monday. And yesterday was my last day at Marriott!
I think I’m caught up now.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
