FAQ

Have questions? Feel free to comment and ask away! Here are some of the most common FAQ’s.

Q: What does your blog name mean?
A: I get this question the most. The number twelve stands for completion. “I love you completely.” You can go here to read the story of how it came about.

Q: Why do you blog?
A: When I was younger I kept journals. Once I got the internet, I immediately started blogging. I used Xanga first, then GreatestJournal. After that I went to Uber (which was my favorite…I’m still pretty sad that it got shut down). I have used Blogger off and on but then took a long hiatus from blogging. During that hiatus I realized my need to journal and I had more time at a computer than anything. I actually prayed a lot about starting this blog and even what website to really launch a blog on. I blog because it’s a stress reliever. I blog because it helps me express myself. I blog because I love writing and I love being able to see all of the memories right before me. I also love seeing how my writing grows. It’s a huge part of me.

Q: How did you get to go to The Dove Awards?
A: In 2010, I was contacted by sweet Courtney Hyder from The M Collective. She found my blog and saw that I really loved Gungor and asked me if I would be interested in running a CD giveaway. I ran the contest and then started writing reviews for Christian music. My email was put on the GMA email list and I got invited to attend. Such a huge blessing from God.

Q: Are you in school? What is your major?
A: I am not in school right now and I currently don’t know when I will return. I plan on going back at some point, though, and earn a degree in Communications/Journalism.

Q: How long have you worked at Walt Disney World? How often do you work there?
A: I was hired October 4, 2007 as a part time merchandise cast member in the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom. I was seasonal for a few months and then I went full time in Fantasyland and worked there two years. I am currently seasonal at Walt Disney World and work as a full time nanny. I work in Fantasyland as much as I can. Usually a couple times a month unless my life is going insane.

Q: How many siblings do you have?
A: I have a younger sister, Nikki, and an older brother, Rob. My sister lives in Pennsylvania and my brother lives in Michigan.

Q: Do you like living in Florida?
A: No. I’m originally from Ohio. I miss the seasons. I’m a big baby when it comes to the heat and humidity here. I absolutely love my friends here, though. And Disney World. Those are the reasons I am staying here for now.

Q: DinoTravis?
A: DinoTravis is my stuffed triceratops from Build-a-Bear. I got him one summer when I was in Ohio on a vacation. I built him with my little cousins and he has been my favorite ever since. I named him after Travis Wall from So You Think You Can Dance.

Q: How did you meet your best friends?
A: I’m going to try and make this as simple as I can. I met Bekah at church when I was seventeen or eighteen. I was actually friends with her brothers before I even knew she existed. I ended up being her youth leader and our friendship just went from there. I met Andrew at Disney in 2008. We worked in Fantasyland together. I met Alysse at Disney in 2010. We also worked in Fantasyland together. I met Angie at MVCI in 2010. She works as a lifeguard. I met Brianna and Felicia in 2006, right after I moved to Florida.

Q: How do I get a job at Disney?
A: Go here. I recommend merchandise. :)

Q: How do you keep your hair from frizzing in the humidity?
A: Oh. It frizzes and is all sorts of psycho. You just never get to see those pictures on here. Ha. But, if you are still convinced that my hair always looks nice — I use Herbal Essences. I use the Long Term Relationship shampoo and conditioner. I use the shampoo every day, but the conditioner only once or twice a week. If I am just blow drying my hair, I put Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Gel in my hair beforehand. If I am straightening my hair, I use Smooth Infusion Glossing Straightener from Aveda. It’s my favorite. It lasts a really long time, also. I have had the same bottle since last November!

Q: Why do you give your posts such weird titles?
A:  I love quotes. I quote my friends and pretty much anything I can all the time. I also am really terrible at coming up with title names. Anything unique I can think of goes. Sometimes I use song lyrics, also.

Q: Who is Angie and how come she doesn’t post a lot? She’s funny.
A: Angie was one of my coworkers when I worked for Marriott and she is one of my best friends. She has her own blog so that keeps her pretty occupied. She sometimes writes randomly on here, but she is really focused on school and work.  If you want her to post more, simply comment on her entries and bug her about it. If you want the link to her blog, ask me. I’m not sure if she is really giving it out to people.

Q: When are you doing another giveaway? You haven’t done one for a really long time.
A: I’m not sure. I haven’t had much time or extra money to really promote/afford a giveaway in the past year or so. They take a lot of time to do and I haven’t really had a lot of people interested in me running another contest. If and when I do run another contest or random giveaway, it’ll be posted on here and on the Facebook page.

Q: You mention having PCOS a lot. What is it?
A: It’s Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome. Basically, there are cists on my ovaries…which throw off a lot of other things for me physically. I struggle with my weight, my emotions, my skin, girl stuff (ha!), my sugar levels, and more. A lot of girls and women have it — but most don’t realize it. I go to an Endocrinologist every three to four months. I pretty much have the best one ever. Back in November, God healed my sugar level. I am Diabetes and Prediabetes free!! I still have other problems due to PCOS, but I serve a God who is the ultimate healer. PCOS can become a very serious thing if it’s not checked out and treated, though. It can cause Diabetes, Heart Disease, and Infertility. If you want to learn more about it you can go here.
