30 Days of Disney: Day 8 and 9.
by Samantha
I am doing a terrible job at writing these every single day. I’ll work on it. Remember…Writer’s Block. I swear it’s not just an excuse. I am finally coming out of it though, so expect a batrillion entries.
Yes.
A batrillion.
Anyways, I’m also working on Part Four of the Learning My Heartsong series. I’m 500 words into it, so that’s good, right? You bet!
I also finally renamed Kaylor. I’ll talk about that later.
Now on to the Disney stuff!
Day #8: Your Favorite Villain
Joanna from The Rescuers Downunder
{animation found on Tumblr.}
She is probably more of a sidekick than a villain, but I think she is highly underrated. I don’t know about you, but I find psycho giant salamanders rather terrifying. I mean, if one of those things stuck its head in a giant poacher’s trap and practically screamed at me like it did at Cody, I would probably pee my pants.
Sorry…am I allowed to say pee on my blog? I don’t think I ever have before. Ah well. I’m being bold here. I’m on a roll tonight. Ha.
I mean, we have a lizard at work and I’m scared of him and have only pet him maybe twice. A giant one of those? No, thank you.
What I also love about Joanna is she is kind of a wimp at the same time. I think she is hilarious. My favorite part in the movie is when Frank gets the keys and then rides her like she is a bull. It’s so entertaining to me. She’s hilarious and terrifying at the same exact time.
Day #9: Your Favorite Original Character
Donald Duck
This one is hard. I love all of the classic characters. However, when they used to show the old cartoons on Disney Channel, I would always sit and wait for the Donald ones. I think Donald and Goofy were almost a tie in my house growing up. I was a huge fan of Duck Tales and Goof Troop as well. Then again, I was a fan of most of the classic stuff. Not sure what it is about Donald – whether it’s his cute sailor outfit, his ridiculous temper, his voice – or what. I just love him. He wins as my favorite classic character, but it’s a really close win between him and the others. It’s like my heart is torn between them all.
